You Make Me Hole Donut Card

I had this card idea in my head for some time and I was so glad to finally bring it to life. This adorable digi image from Polka Dot Orchard made this card so much fun to create.

The two circles of this Donut are attached at the center to make it a top folding card and still leaving plenty of room on the inside for a personal message.

This card was inspired by the May 2017 Paper Pumpkin Kit "Sprinkled with Love".

Supplies use:
Polka Dot Orchard digi stamp- you-make-me-hole
tan & light pink cardstalk
Distress Inks- Worn Lipstick & Vintage Photo
Glossy Accents by Ranger
We-R-Memory Keepers sprinkles punch

Thanks so much, hope you create this awesome Donut Card. Have a great Day.

Happy Easter Textured Card

I love trying out new techniques and I have been wanting to try this one out for a while, its texture paste with stencils!!! After digging through my stash of stencils (which was not many), I felt this one would be fun, I don't know the brand just know that it has a sticky backing. My first attempt was not so great but this one was much better, that's the joy of trying something new, you get better at it every time.

Details
First,  I laid my stencil across a 4"x 5 1/4" white card font and using a pallet knife, I spend Texture paste across the entire stencil smoothing and scrapping off any excess. Then I let that dry.
Next, I inked rows of color using Distress Inks.
I colored the images and fussy cut them out and popped up the eggs and bow with tiny pieces of fun foam.
Lastly, I completed the card with some orange string as an embellishment.

Supply List

Distress Inks - mustard seed, spiced marmalade, picked raspberry, evergreen bough & shaded lilac
Texture Paste- transparent gloss by Ranger
stencil
White card stock
orange string

Loved making this card and I will have to grow my collection of stencils to do more texture technique.   This came out so cute pictures don't show the fun pattern of texture. I think I will send this to my grandsons, then will love it. If you have never tried the technique I would recommend it, simple and beautiful results.

Have a wonderful day and do what makes you happy (card making that is).

Paper Pieced Digi stamp Birthday Card

This card had a lot of firsts for me, but I am thrilled with the outcome and I discovered new techniques. I printed the cupcake pattern on patterned paper (had to cut down 12"x12" sheets to 8 1/2" x 11" so it would fit into the printer).

Then I got to cutting, I cut apart each layer of icing and the cupcake liner. I used the white version as the base and colored in the cake, flowers, and inner ear with my Tombow markers. I wanted the horn and ears to sparkle so I taped (with painters tape) scrap pieces of glitter cardstock to a white piece of cardstock postioned were the horn and ears would print, this worked great and now I know I can use small pieces of patterned paper instead of a full sheet (8 1/2 x 11).

After I had all my pieces cut out I simply glued them into place, die cut some layered mats and embellished with a flower punch. Now that I know how to print desired pieces with my digi stamp and printer, I will do more paper pieced cards.

Supply List

patterned paper
scrap glitter cardstock
White Cardstock
Gina Marie Designs Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die Set
Tombow Markers
Tombow Mono Liquid Glue-Aqua
Recollections flower punch 5/8 "-with blue base

This sparkly whimsical  Birthday card is perfect for that unicorn loving girl in your life. Hope you give it a try. Thanks for stopping by.

Decorate it Sunday - Hot Cocoa Bar Sign

What better way to spend  a winter Sunday than to play with my Cricut and create a fun sign for my Hot Cocoa bar. I absolutely love how this came out. These are the supplies your going to need;

one 12" X 12" sheet of Oracal 651 vinyl in white
an 8" X 10" canvas board in black (at Michael's)
Cricut Transfer Paper
Cricut, mat, and tools

How to Make-

-Since your Digi Stamp Set  is downloaded into your computer, incorporating the images to Cricut Design Space is easy.  Open a new Canvas, click "upload" from the left side menu. Click "upload Image" then "browse". Locate the Digi Stamp set file from your downloads files then click "Choose". Select the "Cold Hands Warm Hearts" image then click "Choose". Now select "Simple" from the Image Type options then click "continue". A large image appears, click "continue".  Now choose "Save as a cut image", then click "Save". Now your image is in Design Space. Click the image and then click "Insert Image". The image will appear super large so just adjust the size to fit on the canvas. Repeat the steps individually to add the other images. Resize each image and place them were you prefer.
Click "Make It" and follow the steps to cut the Vinyl with your Cricut. Weed Design then place on a piece of transfer paper that is the same size. Place this on the canvas board (as straight as possible). Use a scrapper to stick down the design. Gently and slowly lift the transfer paper (* the canvas boar has tiny ridges so take your time pulling up the sticky paper).

That's all there is to it!!!
Place it on a tray ( or punch holes in the board using a Crop-a-Dial-it will go thru the board, it's amazing, and add a string for hanging).

This sign adds such a cozy touch to your kitchen decor for the winter.
Have a great day and keep warm with your Hot Cocoa!!!

Decorate it Sunday Two Pocket Tea Bag Holder

The tea bag holder was really fun to make and very easy to mass produce, great for thank you gifts for teachers, friends, church groups, coworkers ect.

Supply List

PDO Digi Stamp Set She Said Tea
PDO Digi Stamp Set Give Thanks
6x6 Piece of Designer Series Paper(DSP)
Scoreboard
Bone Folder
Scissors
Glue
Hole Punch(Crop-a-dial)
Ribbon
White Embroidery Floss

Steps on making the tea bag holder:

Start with a 6x6 of DSP (double sided looks best).
Step 1: Fold paper in half corner to corner

Step 2: Place the folded edge of the DSP along the left side of the score board. Then score at 1/2".
Then flip the DSP and repeat the score on the other side

Step 3: Place the DSP folded edge against the top of the scoreboard. Then score at 2 3/4th and then flip it over and score the other side at 2 3/4th.

The score lines should look like this.

Step 4:  Crease side score lines down as shown in the photo.

Step 5:  Crease the bottom score line with your bone folder as shown in picture below.

Step 6: Glue the points of tea bag holder together as shown in picture for security.

Step 7:  Punch hole as shown in the picture.

Step 8:  Place ribbon  through hole and then decorate as desired. I also attached a tea bag tag string by  using a scrap piece of card stock and embroidery floss. I placed a tiny hole in the tag with my pokey tool and tied a knot in the embroidery floss. The the tea cup I cut a tiny slit with my exacto knife an threaded the other end of the floss through the slit. You can then tape or glue the end to the back side of the tea cup. One of the pockets can be used for the sentiment of your choice and the other pocket for your favorite tea bag.
