Inlay Embossing Tree Card

Inlay Embossing

Let's make a big 'ol mess in the craft room today!! Using supplies that you probably already have, this tecnique is a must try for sure. So pull out your embossing folders, dies, punches, stamp sets, inks and paper scraps.
For the Tree Card.... Lg tree 2 1/2" X 4" -notch at 1 1/4" (**angle cut from notch to corner for both sides creating the triangle shape)....Trunk 3/4" X 1"
                                 Md tree 1 1/2" X 3"-notch at 3/4"**.....Trunk 1/2" X 1"
                                 Sm tree 3/4" X 2"-notch at 3/8" **....Trunk 1/4" X 1"
-Cut the pieces for the trees and trunks using scraps
-Ink the edges of the trees and trunks using Distress Inks
-Glue the Trees directly to the card front
-Run the card front through a cutting machine such as the Big Shot (on the appropriate tab for embossing folders). It works best with any embossing folder with a dense image-meaning the image has a lot on it and not much open space.
-Glue the front to a base and pop up a sentiment and it's finished.... unless you want to add embellishments, ribbon, etc.
For the Snowflake Card...I used multiple snowflake punches and followed the same steps.
Supply List:
Recollections Embossing Folder-Christmas -Noel
Distress Ink - Vintage Photo
                    - Mowed Lawn-kit #2
Scraps of greens and turquoise cardstock
A2 size ( 4 1/4" X 5 1/2") Card base -white
Card front (4" X 5 1/4") -white
I know you are doing to love making these cards, only one problem..... Cleaning up the mess....sorry!!!
'Till next time.... have fun!!!
