Double Diamond Fold Card Made Easy




Double Diamond Fold Card

You will sure to impress with this Card. You can really have fun with mixing DSP and Embellishments.
Here are the Directions;
1-Card Base- 7" X 12". Score on the long side at 3", 4 1/2", 7 1/2", & 9" and with a pencil place a notch at 1 1/2", & 10 1/2" (rotate the piece and notch again at the same measurements). With the short side, place a notch at 3 1/2" (rotate the piece and notch again at the same measurement). Using a paper trimmer place the side notch and the end notch on the cut line and slice a diagonal line, repeat on the other side. Score a diagonal line from the corner notch to the inner scored line, repeat on the other side creating a cross  or "X". Then repeat this "X" on the other side of the piece. 
Your Score Lines should look like this....
2- Cut Panels= Cut 6 Pieces of DSP of various patterns at 2 3/4" X 6 3/4". (for the Pieces  on the ends that have the stamped images-  2 1/4" X 6 1/4", notch at 1 1/8" & 3 1/8").  *One for center panel-green DSP in the photo-no additional cutting
                            *Two are for the outer diamond panels-green DSP in the photo-( place notch on long side at 3 3/8" on both sides, then place notch on short side at 1 3/8" on both ends. cut a diagonal slice from notch to notch at both ends to create a diamond shape). 
                            *One is for the long half triangle panels -the cross striped DSP in the photo-( place notch on long side at 3 3/8" on both sides, then place notch on short side at 1 3/8" on both ends. cut a diagonal slice from notch to notch at both ends to create a diamond shape. Now cut this diamond in half creating 2 half diamonds). 
                            *Two are for small triangle panels-the floral DSP in photo-Cut each piece in half at 3 3/8"=4 pieces. With each piece notch at 1 3/8" at both ends- cut from notch to corner creating a triangle. Now place straight edge flush on the trimmer and cut in half=8 pieces. 
                            ** optional- create 4 more small triangles to be place on the back of card at the triangles that stick out of the card when folded flat (see last photo). 
       3. Embellish with stamped images, embellishments etc.

Wow!! Looks complicated? Nah... You Can Do It!!
Directions
-Cut the pieces of cardstock that you will need-
Card Base 4" X 12",
2-Side Panels  that measure 1 3/4" X 3 3/4",
Center Mats 2 1/2" X 2 1/2" & (2 1/4" X 2 1/4" optional), 
Large Triangles and Small Triangles  cut 2 pieces 3 3/4" X 3 3/4" (one is for large triangles -cut this piece in half then in half again to make the 2 Large triangles-you will have a ex large triangle left as scrap) the other piece you need to cut in half =2 pieces, then cut each one in half again = 4 pieces, then cut each in half again =8 small triangles. 
-Score the Card Base piece with the long side in your score board score at 2", 4", 8",  & 10". With the card base still in the scoreboard use a pencil and place a notch at the 6" and then turn completely around and notch the other side at 6". Using your cut groove of your paper trimmer (or your scoreboard) line up the notch to the outer score line- score a diagonal line, then turn and repeat to make a cross diagonal - repeat at the other end of piece giving you 2 cross lines.
-Crease all score lines with a bone folder.
-Glue all the panels into place with liquid glue  to give you time to adjust into place  and be sure to cover every edge with glue to ensure it is secure.
-Decorate with stamped images, stickers, embellishments, whatever you like. 
 The Finished Flat Folded Card measures 4" X 4"

2 or more pattern papers ( I used Recollections)

Window Pop-Up Card

Window Pop-Up Card
This is a fun fold for any occasion and can be adapted to use any shape die that you have. This card can fold flat for mailing. 
-Cut 3 pieces of 110lb cardstock  - 1- card base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" 
                                                        -2- pop-up piece 3 1/4" X 4 1/2"
                                                        -3-panel piece 3" X 5 1/2"
-Score  Cardbase at 4 1/4"   Pop-up piece at 3/4", 1 1/2" and 4 3/4"
-Die Cut a shape (or two) in the front of the card -don't forget to unfold it first. 
-Attach the pop-up piece to the inside of card
Decorate the Panel using stamped images- make sure the image shows thru the window.

Crle Envelope- Fancy FoldGift Card Holder

Circle Envelope Gift Card Holder
This Envelope/ Gift Card Holder is made from 4 circles, isn't that amazing? And it's so very simple and fast to create. I used a 3 1/2" circle die for this size envelope, but you can use Any round object around the house that measures 3 1/2", a plate, can, jar, etc.. To decorate the flaps I used a slightly smaller die and Designer Paper. You can embellished it with stickers, ribbon, tags anything that you have. You will have a lot of fun making these.
