Nativity Star Ornament

Nativity Star Ornament

What a fun project this is. You can use any glitter, metallic or holographic card stock that you have. One 12" X 12" piece will cut out 6 large stars-that will make 3 ornaments (with scraps to punch out smaller stars for future projects).  For added strength I added a chip board (or any cardboard that you have) star in-between. Just be sure the image/sentiment that you are stamping will fit into the size star that you die cut. I can't wait to put these ornaments on my tree.
Supply list:
Glitter, Metallic or shiny cardstock
White  65lb card stock
Approx 8" long 1/4"wide piece of glitter ribbon
Big Shot
Thanks for watching and stopping by. Be sure to share your ornaments on the Maymay Made It Customer Gallery or on my Facebook Page createalongwithtrace.  Have a blessed day.

Gingerbread House Treat Box

This Treat Box uses Mirror Image Stamping, Coloring, Fussy Cutting....and a whole lot of FUN!!
I Love decorating Gingerbread houses and have been teaching that class at Michael's year after year. When I first saw this Stamp Set Maymay's video on her 3D Wagon/Wheel Barrel Treat Box came to mind. This video help me so much to figure out how to construct the box. I knew I had to create a Gingerbread House Treat Box.
-First I used the Mirror Image Stamping Technique and stamped out 2 "houses" in one direction and 2 "houses" in the other direction. I also stamped out a bunch of "Candy" on white cardstock. This created 2 treat boxes.
-Next, colored and fussy cut the images. With the houses, Fred and Ginger I inked all the edges with Distress Oxide Vintage Photo Ink (this gave it a "baked cookie" look).
-For the box, I cut a 4 1/2" X 4 1/2" piece of Kraft carsick, then scored all 4 sides at 1 1/2". Then cut on the red dotted lines... see Photo. Crease score lines and glue the sides into place (don't forget to ink the edges of this box as well).
- Then all that is left to do is assemble/decorate the house. Be sure to place the "house" pieces so the chimney is on the same side at each end.
-Oh ya, fill with CANDY
Supply List:
Distress Oxide Vintage Photo Ink
Tombow Dual Brush Markers
Recollections Fine Tip Pens
Wink of Stella (this is not seen well in the photos, but I added it to the snow, windows, eyes, etc.- it gave it such a whimsical effect.

I had such a good time making these I know I will be making MORE!! Thanks for watching and stopping by. If you make this project please share it on the Customer Gallery  at maymaymadeit.com and/or Facebook pages. (createalongwithtrace)
Have a fabulous day everyone!!
